Washing the dishes in the late September morning and looking out the window above the kitchen sink made me think of this tumbler with its fall colors. The clay of these tumblers took on an orange hue as it interacted with the flame of the wood kiln. The addition of the red slip inlay, highlights the hue of the clay. Like the trees, they too must realize it’s fall. This tumbler also has a deep green liner glaze to contrast the orange hue on the outside.
